Glibc now builds for me correctly. The current 'patch' ebuild is junk.
Source URI is not correct.
I modified my ebuild locally, but the bootstrap script aborted. Is there a
way to make it pick up where it left off?

Looks like this was recently fixed:

Yes, but I don't remember how to do it. I think it should be pretty
apparent if you read bootstrap.sh. Something like "bootstrap.sh 2" or
something to make it start in the middle.
