I'm trying to install gentoo on es45, but with kernel 2.4 i have "kernel stack not valid halt", with kernel 2.6 i have a red screen and a system freeze. I tryied to recompile the 2.6 kernel (for titan architecture and with no frame buffer) on a ds20 where gentoo is perfectly installed. I reburn the cd with aboot following the instruction at www.alphalinux.org and now the new 2.6 kernel does not freeze with the red screen, howewer i have again the "kernel stack not valid halt" error message. Wath may i do? thanks Nicola Ranaldo -- gentoo-alpha@gentoo.org mailing list
