One thing that would help gentoo installations for screen reader users
that can hear would be a little short sound as the boot: prompt comes on
the screen.
I have slint running on this system and suppose I could emulate a ubuntu
install of gentoo with it. It might be possible to find the needed number
of seconds a cold iron install would need until the boot: prompt came up
on the screen that way.
A click over a pc speaker or sound card would be all that would be needed
for a sound cue if anything like this is ever implemented.
