Subject: [gentoo-accessibility] gentoo environment interfaces
Date: Mon, 1 May 2023 16:42:40 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <299ce85b-55c9-fcf5-40e8-5ba0c5b0f1bc@panix.com> (raw)
Is it possible to have espeak or espeak-ng or fenrir running in tty and
then use startx to enter into a graphical environment like mate or gnome?
When I install systems I prefer doing it this way since if the tty will
log me in and speak and something happened to mate or gnome I at least
have a chance to be able to repair gnome or mate in the tty interface.
Others prefer to live dangerously, I prefer to stack the deck in my favor
whenever using a computer since it's already difficult enough using a
computer with no useable vision in any operating system.
