According to its website, there are still updates being done to the software
(most recently April of this year). However, a quick read of the said
website sort of answers my question as it hasn't really been tested outside
of Debian/Ubuntu. If you're curious, have a look at
http://voxin.oralux.net/.

Hi James,

I think voxin is viavoice right?  If so I have no experience with it at all.

The disadvantage there is it hasn't been updated in years and you'll have to
install old glibc compatibility packages, etc.

If you do decide to do that, I am curious how it will go.
