Subject: [gentoo-lisp] app-emacs/gentoo-syntax package split
Date: Tue, 2 Jul 2013 17:45:22 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20946.62866.367467.562156@a1i15.kph.uni-mainz.de> (raw)

Hi all,

Currently the gentoo-syntax package collects three modes (ebuild-mode,
eselect-mode, and gentoo-newsitem-mode) that are mostly independent.
I think it would be more natural to maintain eselect-mode within
eselect proper. And since newsitem mode shares no code at all with the
rest, it's probably cleaner to split the package altogether:
  - ebuild-mode for ebuilds and eclasses (and anything else that is
    related to the Portage tree)
  - eselect-mode for eselect modules
  - gentoo-newsitem-mode for GLEP 42 news items (I wonder how many
    users this has anyway ;-)

Any comments?

Ulrich
